Dr. Travis W. Hanson is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with an exclusive focus on foot and ankle surgery at Houston Methodist West. He is a named co-inventor on multiple internationally granted U.S. patents for orthopedic fixation devices, developed collaboratively with colleagues at Houston Methodist, and has been actively involved in the surgical education of orthopedic residents and fellows for more than fifteen years. He specializes in minimally invasive surgical techniques for bunion correction, Achilles repair, and fracture fixation, offering patients outcomes that compare favorably to traditional open approaches with significantly less soft tissue disruption.
Dr. Hanson currently serves as team physician for Rice University Athletics and has previously served as team physician for the Houston Dynamo of Major League Soccer. He has been recognized as a Texas Monthly Super Doc for multiple consecutive years.
